Ingredients
  

Brownie Layer:

  • 1 cup 225g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups 300g granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup 65g Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup 125g all-purpose flour

Espresso Soak:

  • ¼ cup 60ml hot espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur optional

Tiramisu Topping:

  • 1 cup 240g mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • ¼ cup 60ml heavy cream
  • cup 40g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions
 

Prep & Preheat:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.

Make Brownie Batter:

  • Whisk melted butter, sugar, and cocoa until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and salt.
  • Fold in flour until just combined (do not overmix).

Bake & Soak:

  • Spread batter into the pan. Bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick has moist crumbs.
  • Poke warm brownies with a fork and brush evenly with espresso. Cool completely.

Whip Topping & Assemble:

  • Beat mascarpone, cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until thick. Spread over cooled brownies.
  • Chill 1 hour, dust with cocoa, and slice.
