For the Cake:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour sifted
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberry puree ~1 ½ cups whole strawberries
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened (or vegetable oil)
- 3 large eggs room temperature
- 1 cup whole milk or buttermilk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
For the Frosting:
- 1 ½ cups unsalted butter softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup strained strawberry puree
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Optional:
- Fresh strawberry slices for garnish
- White chocolate chips
Step 1: Prep Strawberry Puree
